Do the forums eat your formatting? Do they add extra spaces? Well, luckily for you, there's a simple answer!
First off, we're gonna have you post in BBCode format, so make sure you have your stuff tagged properly. That means things like:
[i][/i] for italics, [b][/b] for bold, [center][/center] for centered text, and so on.
The best way to do this is by tagging things as you write, but if you didn't do that, search for formatted stuff via your word processor's advanced search function. Everything but Google Docs has that function.
Second, at the bottom of every post box (either New Thread or Replies—to get to Replies, click "Reply" at the top of every Quick Reply box), there are two tabs. You're probably set to Preview by default. Click on BBCode so it's at the front. Copy and paste your work, hit post, et voilà! Perfectly formatted posts!
To put yourself permanently in BBCode mode, go to Edit Profile > Settings. Scroll down to Posting Default and switch it to BBCode, then hit save. Boom! No more worrying about shenanigans!
Enjoy!
