Chapter 1
Harven (Har-vin) rose out of bed as fast as he could, immediately ripping off the blanket from his bed. Today is the day he thought as he looked out the window he saw Winschester the kingdom of humans, One of the biggest cities in all of Aellan! Today is the day Harven would choose a profession. He and his friends would obviously choose one of the branches in King Galbatorix’s (Galb-a-tore-ix) armies. As he ran downstairs he saw his mother and father were waiting for him, father as always, was shoving down some food while his mother was cooking more “Oh hello sweetie, would you like some eggs?” His mother said right when she saw him “No time I have to go meet Horst and Albriech!” Harven said while running out the door. He slowed his running to a walking pace, for he was heading towards the market which was very close by. Albriech (Al-breach) and Horst (Hore-st) were always at the market, and to no surprise while Harven was walking into the market he heard a “HEY HARVEN OVER HERE!!” from the calm but gruff voice it was obviously Horst. That meant Albriech was nearby. He ran towards the voice, it was near the armies shop, because the supplies king Galbatorix’s armies got were so bad, there were a couple of shops selling better gear. Harven ran towards Albriech and Horst and said “So what Branch are you guys going to join?” “Rangers.” said Albriech before Horst could even open his mouth. “Uhhhhh oh ya I wanted to join the army!” said Horst. “Tamers for me!” said Harven. “I got some money for all of you.” said Albriech. Albriech was very rich so Horst and Harven knew he could rely on them. “Sweet!” Horst and Harven said at the same time while Albriech gave them more money than Harven had ever seen in his life. “Let's meet back here in 1 hour!” said Harven, as Horst and Albriech nodded he ran of in excitement The recruiting starts in 1 hour and 10 minutes he thought. He ran inside the Tamers shop as a tall and fat man greeted him. “Hello! Welcome to Baldor’s Tamer shop! I am Baldor, are you Looking for anything in particular?” Baldor said with delight. “Could you point me to the creature capture machines?” Baldor raised his left hand and pointed, “Ok thank you.” Harven said as he walked to where Baldor pointed to, There he saw nets, crossbows with arrows that have barja juice on them, (the famous sleep juice of the Tamers). He picked out a crossbow and some arrows, a couple of nets, a backpack and some bottles of barja juice. He would head to the “Creatures'' aisle next. Most Tamer’s don’t actually tame their first companion. At least all the famous ones didn’t, as he walked there he saw a door labeled “Creatures'' as he walked inside he saw a room 20 times bigger than the store “Magic! IT'S AMAZING!!!” he yelled, Harven has always been excited about magic, and now he is finally seeing it for himself. He saw huge cages filled with all sorts of animals. It was a pretty sight for sadly many other Tamer shops put their animals in small cages where they can’t even turn around. But here the pens are HUGE and filled with trees and grass and flowers. To the right and the left of him were signs for each animal depicting a picture of the animal, the cost, their attributes and a little bit about them. After this he would have to buy the customary tamer armor and a bestiary so he had to not buy the most expensive one. He picked two, a red-tailed hawk and a Agrossa sloth. (Agrossa sloth’s are very big and fast. The only reason they are called sloth’s is because of their looks.) He called Baldor over and using some sort of magic Baldor teleported the red-tailed hawk into an overly sized bird cage and put a saddle and a huge saddle pack on both sides of the saddle for the sloth. As he loaded his stuff onto the saddle pack the sloth didn’t seem to even think it was heavy. What a magnificent beast Harven thought “The sloth is already tamed but you will have to tame the hawk yourself.” Baldor said in a calm tone. “I will stay with the animals while you get the bestiary and armor. Also you will have to think of names for the beasts.” “Arthur will be the sloth and SkyFeather will be the Hawk.” Harven said “OH amazing names indeed.” Said Baldor. And with that Harven bought a bestiary and the customary leather armor with TO many pockets. He checked his watch, He would have to go back to the meeting place in 5 minutes. He put on the armor and grabbed the bird cage and hopped onto Arthur. He ran outside the door and there he saw Horst and Albriech. Albriech was dressed like robin hood and had a couple of pouches filled with stuff. He had arrows tipped with silver (Never know when werewolves are gonna appear), poison, Barja juice and an arrow with a capsule for the tip. Harven looked closer, the capsule had a smoke bomb in it. Horst had silver armor (With the helm off) a sword in a scabbard and a lance on his back, he also had a shield. “WOAH!” said Horst “THAT'S A BIG SLOTH! Oh look a birdy.” “He’s hopeless.” said Albriech with a grin. “Ok guys we have to go to the recruiting stage.” The group walked (Harven on sloth-back) to the stage with hundreds of other people and standing in front of it stood King Galbatorix.
