PMP's 10th Birthday Illustration

It's always cool to see how other people envision characters in fiction -- especially how the author envisions them, because there are always a bunch of interesting differences between their mental image and mine. Obviously Zero is a canon character -- from, in fact, the only one of the Pokémon movies I've seen, though I can't remember why it was I saw it -- so I knew my picture of him would be pretty similar to yours, but Mitsumi is pretty far from what I imagined.

Anyway, as for the art itself, I really have to give you props for managing to draw Zero's hair without it looking like a mutant pineapple; that's no mean feat. I quite like the almost scratchy line you've chosen, too; it really emphasises the varied line weight, which obviously adds a little fluidity and motion to the image -- particularly with Zero, whose pose is quite stiff compared to Mitsumi's. I'm not sure what the line on Zero's right wrist is, though -- it kind of looks like something that was meant to be erased but wasn't.

But! This is a cool picture, and a timely reminder for me to catch up on Reverse Horizons so I can leave you a proper review at some point. Nice work!

I was actually thinking about suggesting you post this before I knew you did, lol. It's a great piece - Oyster broke it down in such detail that I agree with, so all I can add is that the colors mix fantastically well.
